The 7 Habits That Changed Everything (and Not One of Them Is “Eat More Protein”)

When women come to me, they’re often surprised by how simple the real “secrets” to fat loss and hormone balance actually are. Spoiler: it’s not about spending hours in the gym or swearing off carbs forever.

Instead, it’s about stacking small, sustainable habits that add up to big changes over time.

Here are the 7 habits that truly changed everything for me and not one of them is “eat more protein.” 😉

1. 8K Steps a Day

Walking isn’t fancy, but it’s powerful. Getting in at least 8,000 steps a day has been one of the most effective tools for fat loss and overall health. It boosts mood, lowers stress, and keeps metabolism humming—all without feeling like exercise.

2. Strength Training in 30-Minute Sessions

I stopped overcomplicating workouts. Just 30 minutes of intentional strength training a few times a week was all it took to build muscle, reshape my body, and increase energy. Less time, better results. Want to give my workouts a try? Head HERE

3. I Stopped “Eating Healthy” and Started Eating Intentionally

For years, I thought “healthy” meant salads and restriction. Now I focus on eating intentionally—choosing foods that fuel my body, balance hormones, and actually taste good. There’s a huge difference between eating healthy and eating with purpose.

4. 25 Grams of Fiber a Day

Fiber doesn’t get enough attention, but aiming for 25 grams a day has been a game changer. It supports digestion, keeps me full, and helps regulate blood sugar—making fat loss so much more sustainable.

5. Eating Enough (So I Didn’t Need to Binge)

This one was huge. Instead of restricting all week and then binging on nights or weekends, I learned to eat enough of the right foods consistently. Once my body was properly fueled, the urge to “cheat” or “make up for it later” disappeared.

6. Implemented Carb Cycling

Carbs aren’t the enemy—they’re a tool. With carb cycling, I strategically rotate between higher- and lower-carb days to support fat loss, hormone balance, and performance. It’s flexible, realistic, and honestly one of the biggest mindset shifts I made.

7. Simplicity in the Kitchen

I don’t spend hours cooking complicated recipes. Instead, I keep things simple: easy meals at home that the whole family enjoys. When healthy eating fits seamlessly into family life, it’s no longer a chore—it’s just how we live. Grab my Weeknight dinner guide HERE

The 8th Habit?

I joined a program that taught me how to bring all of these habits together in a way that finally made sense.

That’s exactly what I teach inside my 6-Week Fat Loss Program—how to properly fuel your body for fat loss, balance hormones, and build a lifestyle that lasts.

Finally a realistic and doable program to help you drop those 10lbs once and for all inside 6 weeks.
