1. Lay out workout clothes and kids’ clothes the night before:
Start your day on the right foot by preparing ahead. Lay out your workout gear and your little ones’ outfits the night before. This simple step saves precious time and eliminates the stress of searching for matching socks in the morning.
2. Prep ahead breakfast for the kids:
Simplify your morning routine by prepping breakfast in advance. Whip up overnight oats, make-ahead muffins, or assemble yogurt parfaits. These grab-and-go options ensure your kids start their day with a nutritious meal, without the morning rush.
3. Meal plan Mon – Thurs:
Take the guesswork out of weeknight dinners by meal planning from Monday to Thursday. Create a master meal list with simple and family-friendly recipes. This way, you’ll have a clear plan and can shop for ingredients in one go.
4. Go to bed 30 minutes earlier:
Prioritize your sleep to tackle the early mornings. Set a bedtime routine and aim to hit the sack 30 minutes earlier. A well-rested mom is a superhero mom!
5. Have healthy snacks ready to pack for the week:
Keep your energy levels up and avoid unhealthy snacking by prepping nutritious snacks in advance. Cut up fruits and veggies, portion out nuts, or prepare homemade granola bars. Having these snacks ready to pack will make your life easier and keep your family fueled throughout the day.
6. Focus on the simple things
Focus on the simple things that you CAN focus on, not things you “can’t do”. Keep the list short and sweet and it can build bi weekly as needed til your new schedule feels more normal. Habit stacking is perfect, even if the habits are small.
7. Batch cook, even if it’s only proteins:
Simplify dinner time by batch cooking, especially proteins, having these done ahead of time will really help for more seamless and easy dinners. It’s much easier to make meals or throw it together fast when protein is already done. Double or even triple your recipes so you can take a few meals off your to do list.
8. Fill up water bottles night prior
How many times you forget your water or your kids water each day?!
9. Get your kids involved:
Having them help at their level with things they can do not only helps you, but it helps them to get into a new schedule, too, and they are more likely to stick to something that they put time into
10. Power of checking in:
Add to your calendar daily to check in with your coach..having this reminder pop up every single day will help with accountability and getting back in the groove. Even if the day didn’t go as planned or wasn’t perfect, you’re still owning it and showing up! We’re all in the same boat, it happens to the best of us!
